British baby box opening
I was gifted this British Baby Box last year – it’s a pretty simplistic design, soft material and comfy for infants.
It’s adorned with silver stars against a white design, the box is made up of one piece of 75% recycled and 25% virgin cardboard.
The box has a foam mattress covered with a removable, machine washable Corovin cover (complies with BS1877 Part 10:2011+ A1: 2012 and BS7177:2008 + A1: 2011) and an Organic cotton fitted sheet
A Baby Box a Finnish tradition dating back to 1938. In the 1930s, Finland was a poor country and infant mortality was high.
Enter: the Baby Box program – abstate led initiative to give expectant mothers the tools they need to raise a healthy, happy baby and it worked for them.
The British Baby Boxes created by British designers and everything in them is sourced in the UK too.
There are lots of various views on these boxes with some saying about flammabiltiy, durability, draughts and visibility, however, I think it’s based on what the boxes are like, where they are placed and general education – always double check with EU regulations.
In the box opening you will see the standard box, mattress, mattress cover and the Emma’s Diary Labour packet which came along with it (which is different to whats in them 2019)
They are sold at John Lewis and their website – you can add extras in for an extra cost, such as, blankets, beanies and bibs to sleepsuits, sheets and scratch mittens, the products included in our packages are organic, ethical and beautiful.
All the garments are beautifully designed and made from natural, durable fabrics.
Their organic clothing range protects your baby’s delicate skin and we avoid outfits with itchy, scratchy labels at the neckline.
All designed to give parents peace of mind obviously there are standard warnings which are all in the descriptions on the Vlog.
