Anyone else hate Brussel sprouts? I only eat them because I refuse to let them defeat me on Christmas day.
Over the last few years I have started to cook Brussel Sprouts with Bacon and I would go as far to say that they actually taste nice.
4 strips thick-cut bacon
2 tablespoons butter
1 pound brussels sprouts, halved
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Cook bacon in a large frying pan over medium-high heat until crispy.
Remove and place on a paper towel then once dry roughly chop the bacon.
Melt butter in to the same pan with the bacon fat over high heat.
Add onions and Brussels Sprouts and cook, stirring occasionally, until sprouts are golden brown, 8 to 10 minutes.
Finally season with salt and pepper, to taste, and toss bacon back into pan. Serve immediately.
