CELEBRITY NEWS: Lacey Turner reveals baby boy’s name after premature
The 32-year-old star, Lacey Turner, who plays the role of Stacey Slater, in the BBC hit, EastEnders has announced the name of her second child, recently, after he was born prematurely at 36 weeks, weighing 6lbs.
She was happy to announce her son’s “cool” name: Trilby Fox Kay.
Lacey told OK! Magazine, “I knew a girl once and her sister was called Trilby Fox and I always thought it was such a cool name, and I quite liked it for a boy, so I’ve had it in my head for a really long time.”
She then further spoke about her fondness of the name and the ease of clarification.
“It’s nice because when people say, ‘What’s his name?’ you say, ‘Trilby, like the hat.’ When we had Dusty, we said, ‘Dusty, like Dusty Springfield’.”
Dusty Violet is their daughter (and first child), who was born in 2019. Turner and her husband, Matt Kay, had been through 2 miscarriages before Dusty’s happy arrival.
She described the difficulty of the situation after Trilby’s premature birth, saying “It’s so strange to see your baby strapped up to loads of wires… but he’s doing really well now”
We won’t be seeing the character, Stacey, on our screens for some time, whilst Turner takes a six-month maternity leave, but she did return to the set a few days after Trilby’s early arrival to finish some scenes. She will finish her maternity leave in August and plans on spending some of that time in her Ibiza home.
