About us
Alsters Kelley Solicitors Limited is a well-established, forward-thinking, equal opportunities firm with offices in Leamington Spa, Coventry, Nuneaton, Southam and Stratford-upon-Avon.
Our team of specialist lawyers, with a wealth of knowledge and experience, focus on a range of services for individuals. This covers everything from criminal litigation, conveyancing, wills, trusts and estate planning, to more sensitive family and clinical negligence matters.
How our Family Solicitors can help
We can help you and your family with the legal issues arising from relationship breakdown including divorce, separation, financial settlements, arrangements for children, and domestic violence.
Divorce, Separation & Civil Partnership Dissolution
We can help you with the legal processes associated with ending your marriage or dissolving your civil partnership, same sex divorce, or judicial separation. We can also advise on related religious and cultural implications when needed. You can be certain that we shall be sensitive to your particular circumstances and do all we can to ensure your matter is dealt with as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Financial Matters in Divorce/Dissolution Proceedings
Certain financial claims arise automatically on divorce. We can provide you with clear advice on any claims you and your spouse may have in respect of property, other capital, pensions and income and work to reach an agreement as quickly as possible. If it proves impossible to reach agreement amicably, we shall initiate a more formal process to bring the matter to a conclusion, whether that be in or out of Court. Our goal will be to reach a financial settlement which fits your particular circumstances, enabling you and your family to move forward.
Asset & Wealth Protection
We also assist clients with Pre-Nuptial Agreements, Post-Nuptial Agreements and Cohabitation Agreements which all assist in helping you protect any assets or wealth you have acquired if you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of a separation or divorce in the future.
Living and Contact Arrangements with children
We can advise on your legal position when it comes to arrangements for the care of your children after relationship breakdown. We can help if you cannot resolve issues such as education, medical treatment, or change of name. We can also advise on internal and external relocation applications, and child abduction. It is widely accepted that a negotiated agreement between parents represents a better outcome for children, and this is always our starting point. However, if a negotiated agreement is not possible, we can guide and support you through the court process, which involves obtaining a Child Arrangement Order.
There are three different types of Orders that can be applied for;
- Child Arrangement Order
- Specific Issue Order
- Prohibited Steps Order
Domestic Violence & Abuse
Domestic abuse or violence is defined as any incident, or pattern of incidents of controlling, coercive or threatening behaviour, violence or abuse (whether psychological, physical, sexual, financial or emotional) between individuals who are associated with each other.
Abusive Behaviour can take various forms. Abuse can include Coercive control, financial abuse, physical abuse and sexual abuse. In addition, abusive behaviour can involve gas-lighting, stone-walling and narcissistic personalities.
We are dedicated to providing comprehensive support to domestic violence victims in applying for Non-Molestation Orders and/or Occupation Orders.
By working closely with each client, we strive to create a secure environment free from abuse to help clients regain control of their lives.
