One of Britain’s most perfectly picturesque moated castles, located in the heart of an historic landscape, Bodiam Castle is undoubtedly the real thing. With spiral stairs, battlements, windows for loosing arrows and ruins where knights once fought and feasted, Bodiam is a place where you can let your imagination run free.
A cast of colourful characters bring the castle’s medieval world to life with intriguing tales and a year round programme of activities show at first hand show what life in the late fourteenth century was like.
When?
Open seven days a week 10.30am - 5pm. Closed 24 and 25 December
How Much?
Children under 5 years free. Free to National Trust members.Otherwise £9.80 adult £4.90 child (Gift Aid admission £10.80 and £5.40 respectively), family £24.50 / £27.00, group discounts available.
How Old?
Suitable for all ages (small children will need adult supervision) though some areas of the castle inaccessible to disabled/wheelchair-bound visitors
