Humpty Dumpty Childcare – Dartington

Our mission at Humpty Dumpty Childcare is to create happy memories and curious minds. We have an approach to childcare and nursery educations that encourages creativity, independence and imagination, with the aim of equipping children with the skills needed for entering primary schools and developing their learning in the future.

We have three purpose-built, bright and spacious children’s day nurseries in Dartington, Dartmouth and Newton Abbot. Our nurseries are divided into age-appropriate areas and are run by professionally qualified and experienced staff to ensure children have both hours of fun and the best start to their learning. Alongside our day nurseries, our Dartington setting also provides after-school and holiday childcare as well as care for children with additional needs.

We provide childcare for anyone at anytime, however, there is also funding available in two ways for different ages:

Working in partnership with Devon County Council, we’re able to offer free childcare places for two years old living in households with low-incomes. In doing so, families meeting the criteria will receive 15 hours of fully-funded childcare per week (term-time only). Or 11 hours per week all year round.

Early Years Entitlement
All children are entitled to Early Years funding in the term after their third birthday. In doing so, families are able to receive 15 hours of fully-funded nursery education per week (term-time only). Or 11 hours per week all year round.

At Humpty Dumpty Childcare, we have pre-school nursery classes at nurseries in Dartington, Dartmouth and Newton Abbot. Classes are led by qualified teachers with Early Years Professional Status who plan individual and group activities to ensure all children are given the best possible start.
