Welcome to Ladybird Children’s Nursery, All Saints
All Saints is a pre-school playgroup in Gosforth, Newcastle. We are based in the church hall of All Saints Church and operate Monday to Thursday, 8.30 am – 12 noon and on a Friday from 08.30 am until 3.00 pm, term time only.
The playgroup is OFSTED registered and we are able to offer free provision to 2, 3 and 4 year olds, subject to terms and conditions. We are able to offer 30 places for 2 – 4 year olds in a spacious room with areas created within it.
All Saints Playgroup provides a warm and protective environment for children to take their first steps on the bridge between home and the world of school. During the morning the children engage in creative play, role play, construction, mark making together. Baking, painting, simple crafts, singing, games and stories are all enjoyed by the children in a happy, secure atmosphere. We have our own outdoor area where the children can enjoy sand, water, planting and growing and physical play.
All Saints Playgroup provides a caring, safe, stimulating and fun environment where children can learn and develop through play. We encourage children to investigate, explore and initiate their own ideas, play alongside and with other children, as well as learning to follow the rules and routines of playgroup.
They have defined and structured areas of interest which promote a child’s independence, decision-making and problem solving. The areas are divided by the use of low-level shelving that reduces distraction and allows children to become engrossed in their activities.
We are an inclusive group, striving to meet the needs of all children, including those with special educational needs, adapting activities to suit the needs of the child. We work closely with parents, SENCO, Speech and Language therapists and Educational Phycologists to ensure that children can reach their full potential.
