I am a qualified Counsellor offering both long term and short term Counselling. I am passionate about supporting you to look at life from a renewed space, enabling you to move towards positive change. Having the time and space to share these thoughts and feeling can give you the lift you need to step forward in life.
My approach to our work together will encompass my many life experiences, which includes the challenges and joys of growing up in a culturally diverse community, as a parent of two, a wife and an entrepreneur. I have also worked extensively with young people and male clients. These experiences interweave and influence my unique approach to counselling and psychotherapy.
I have worked at Brunel University & Phoenix Counselling Service (generic counselling & psychotherapy services for adults), with clients from diverse cultures on both a long and short term basis.
I have experience in counselling clients with a range of concerns including:
Anxiety
Bereavement & Loss
Confidence & Self Esteem
Depression
Identity & Sexuality
Postnatal depressions & Bonding difficulties
Personal & Cultural Diversity
Relationship concerns
My area of interests are post traumatic stress, life transition (new parents, parenting, new job, moving in or out of a relationship, youth counselling ), personal and cultural Identity.
I will respect your views and support you to understanding what is going on for you. A common fear is that the process is painful and uncomfortable; however as we continue to work together you should gradually start to feel better and will find that your session can be enjoyable!
