At MyBump2Baby we support pregnancy – preschool businesses throughout the UK. We love getting to know business owners more and today our special guest is Louise Wilcockson the founder of the franchise Creche Fit.
Tell us a bit about you?
My name’s Louise and I am a mum of one to a little boy called Joshua. I work as a mobile pre and postnatal personal trainer in Berkshire, offering 1-2-1 training sessions, mum and baby fitness classes and female only outdoor bootcamps. I specialise in pre and postnatal exercise, nutrition and female fitness.
What is Creche Fit?
Crèche Fit offers holistic pre and postnatal fitness and wellness programmes and bring-along-baby fitness classes, giving mums the opportunity to exercise without the need for childcare. Through all our classes and programmes we incorporate the 3 pillars of mummy wellbeing: fitness, food and friendship to build a community of fit and healthy mamas!
What made you start Creche fit?
I started Crèche Fit when I was 5 months pregnant with Joshua. I was already working as a Personal Trainer and was a regular gym user. When I fell pregnant, I quickly realised I would struggle to be able to do my own exercise once he was born. There were no options in my area for mums to exercise without the need for paying for expensive childcare and spending time away from their baby. That’s when at 14 weeks pregnant I decided to re-train and qualify as a Pre and Postnatal Personal Trainer to help local mums to return to exercise post-baby.
Crèche Fit was launched 2 months later in July 2016 and we had 76 mums joining us from the start. The demand was huge and our classes became full from the outset. Running Crèche Fit also allowed me to return to work as soon as I felt ready as I could bring Joshua to the classes with me whilst teaching.
How many Instructors do you have?
We have 3 instructors and we have just taken on a 4th who will start with us once the lockdown is lifted! We are also in talks with a local pilates instructor to introduce mum and baby pilates classes to Crèche Fit and these will launch in the next couple of months.
Do you offer Franchise Opportunities?
We do. We launched our affordable franchise package at the end of last year in order to bring our unique Crèche Fit concept to other mums across the UK.
How can someone find out more about running their own Creche Fit business?
Head to www.crechefit.co.uk/franchise to find out more about our exciting business opportunity and to download our franchise brochure. We are looking for ambitious people who have an interest in fitness and a passion for helping others. Our franchise is best suited to fitness professionals looking to advance their career in a fast growing fitness market (pre and postnatal) or mums looking to own their own flexible, home-based business to fit around family life. With a Crèche Fit franchise you get to choose the hours you work, earn as much or as little as you’d like, receive full support from an established brand, be your own boss AND be able to work without needing childcare!
Where do you run your classes?
We currently run classes in Windsor and Maidenhead and have two new locations in the pipeline for launch later this year.
Do you offer online classes now we’re in lockdown?
Yes! Due to the lockdown we have had to quickly adapt our business and earlier this month we launched our new online community ‘Crèche Fit From Home‘. This has allowed us to continue supporting our local mummies during this challenging period AND bring our fantastic concept to more mummies across the whole of the UK! With flexible options such as PAYG live classes, Pay Monthly Unlimited Classes and our popular 8 week postnatal fitness and nutrition programme ‘Feel Great In 8’, we are able to support so many more mums both physically and mentally from the comfort of their own homes.
