Tired, Hungry and Angry Probably
I am happy to admit I am a huge lover of junk food, I nap almost daily (not by choice I am honestly just so tired all the time) and my diet definitely affects my mood, I seem to only smile when I have a big mac or double cheeseburger in my chops… ooo or Pizza – I bloody love Pizza especially Papa Johns…. GRRR now I want a takeaway again… Focus Carla Focus.
A few years ago I decided I would start skipping breakfast and cutting carbs completely from my diet during the week, now that was great for the first 6 months and I quickly went from 10 stone 7 to a great 9 stone 7. I have stayed pretty much the same weight ever since, I have continued the zero/low carbs as I am not sure what else I can really do now to lose weight or tone up now – I guess you could say I have definitely hit a plateau.
Struggle
I do have a gym membership and I often attend my local spinning class in the evening, I am always the girl yawning and clock watching at the back. I find it such a struggle to keep up during a gym class, I cannot push myself as I don’t have the energy. I get so tired that I often end up with a takeaway in my hand muttering the usual “last one I swear”… as I stuff it in to my gob barely chewing as I swallow it down.
If I do know that I am having a takeaway or eating out then I will try and not eat much if at all that day, now I know it is really stupid but that is just the habit that I got myself in to. Now I am scared to start eating breakfast and carbs again in case I end up piling the weight back on.
After lots of thought and a hell of a lot of takeaways, I decided that my food habits had to change. I adore my family and I want George to have a healthy relationship with food like I did when I was a kid. There was a reason why I was craving takeaways all the time and that is because I wasn’t satisfying my hunger and body enough in the day.
My Saviour
After asking around and Googling A LOT, I was referred to a gentleman called Nick from Nick Wall Nutrition . Nick writes nutrition plans for people and after reading his website and looking at peoples before and after pictures, I was amazed at the results people were getting within just 12 weeks. I desperately wanted and needed to change my lifestyle for good and I contacted Nick for a plan.
When I received the plan I was actually eating a Double Cheeseburger (2nd of the week). I was delighted to see carbs and snacks in the plan, I am so used to starving myself in diets I’m actually excited to eat food and be allowed to. I seem to have in my head the less I eat the more I weight I will lose but after reading Nick’s plan I realised that this is not a healthy way to look at this. We need the right nutrients and goodness for our bodies.
I am so excited to get stuck in with this plan and I will provide you all with honest updates on how I am finding the plan along the way. This plan should help me lose body fat in a healthy way and develop a healthy eating mentality. Nick has also provided me with fantastic recipes that I can share with all the family.
Nicks nutrition plans start from only £40 which I think is a great price considering how much work he puts in to it. Each plan that Nick writes is individually written and tailored for you and your needs. Nick is also qualified to provide pregnant mums with a healthy eating plan and nutrition guide too. Nick is available at all times for support which is just what I need.
If you want to join me on my 12 week challenge then contact Nick via his website, we have just enough time to see results for Christmas.
I will keep you updated with my journey and if you see me with a takeaway, any kind of takeaway at all – slap me… I mean it – slap me in the face!!!

Hmm, I kinda did my own plan with eating somewhat healthy and doing sports – at least what I realized is that eating stuff that makes you “feel full” and have the same calories as something else that makes you feel hungry again after 2 hours (seriously now, burger buns taste like styrofoam) is the better choice (chinese works well though – if not swimming in fat sauce).
That’s a very good decision that you have taken… Believe me, it will not be easy especially seeing people eat those things you love in your presence. I will love to see the result of this your challenge. Thumb up.
I’m happy this is working out for you! I need to do better with my eating habits I’m a pasta lover and I can’t see myself giving it up but I’m thinking I should start eating it smaller amounts though! This seems to be a good plan maybe I can give it a try soon
Girl, you got this! Sounds like you’re doing a great job as it is 🙂
