Titanic Mardan Palace Review Antalya
I am really excited to share my honest Titanic Mardan Palace review it is important to me that families see a true reflection on what destinations are like when travelling as a family. I want to start by saying that this is not a sponsored post, and all opinions are honest and my own.
We travelled to Titanic Mardan Palace Hotel as a family of four in June 2023. I have George, 7 years old and Olivia-Grace, who is 17 months old. It was important for us that we have a hotel that meets our children’s needs and also ours too. Flying with a baby can be a challenge so if you have that to get through first read the blog and top tips. We also have a blog on Travel toys for babies and toddlers to help you select the best travel toys.
How far is the Titanic Mardan from the Airport?
The hotel is around 20 minutes in a taxi from Titanic Mardan Palace. You can pre-book a taxi, we actually did the Jet 2 indulge package, which meant we got free transfers. You can contact Yoruk Travel Tour Taxi’s here.
First Impressions of the Titanic Mardan Hotel
When walking into the hotel, it literally took our breath away, I have watched so many videos on YouTube, but quite honestly, none do it justice. It’s just so beautiful from the ceiling to the floor it is truly the most beautiful hotel I have ever seen.
When we arrived, the luggage was taken to our room, and we sat down and had a glass of champagne whilst we were checked in. The service from that moment on was nothing short of incredible.
The Bistro – 24-Hour Food Service
Yes I am a huge foodie, which means I was delighted to find out there is a restaurant in this hotel called “The Bistro” that is open for 24 hours. We were on a late flight, and we ended up having a full meal at 11 pm. There is plenty of lovely food to choose from, we opted for the burger and pizza, both of which were lovely.
Throughout our stay when we ate our dinner early on (with the kiddos), we would often order a pizza before bed for a bit of supper. You can’t take the pizza upstairs to your room but the bistro is laid back and they serve drinks too. If you are a fan of a good old cup of tea, you should try Turkish tea, I had one every night before bed and you can get that in this restaurant.
Below is the menu from the Bistro for you to look at;
On the topic of food, we have an article on the best places to eat in Antalya, why not check it out?
Premium Family Rooms
We were in room number 2012 on the second floor, we had a pool view. There are lifts and the corridors are quite long the hotel is pram friendly. The lifts do take you to different parts of the hotel, but once you figure it out, it is relatively easy to navigate yourself around the hotel. We had a room with a pool view.
There are 4 of us so we opted for a family room (premium) it is absolutely beautiful and has enough space for everything we needed.
We had a super king size bed (very comfortable) a single bed for our son and a cot too. The cot included a pillow and thin quilt, which was needed with the air conditioning. We did actually turn the air conditioning off as it does always make us feel a little under the weather but the rooms weren’t too hot so we slept well.
Our room included a shower, bath and of course, a toilet, all of which were absolutely stunning. It is important that I mention how good room service was too, if you would like your room cleaned, you literally change the light outside your room to green and housekeeping will come in and make sure your room is beautiful and restocked for when you come back.
The pool view was great, we were opposite a huge bridge where a band played each night, the music and singers were incredible.
The balcony was huge and we had a table we could sit out and lots of outdoor space, we stored our suitcases outside. I didn’t feel comfortable letting the kids near the balcony, it didn’t have a safety glass fitted so that area was out of bounds unless Olivia was strapped in her pushchair or in her cot.
Bathroom extras
If I knew they had these items on hand, I would have saved myself a lot of money on the home bargains runs.
Shaver
Toothbrushes x 2 (for the adults)
Toothpaste
Hair bobbles
Cotton buds
Flannel scrub
Molton brown shower gel
Molton brown body lotion
Shampoo
Conditioner (for the ladies recommend bringing your own)
Hair dryer (not as powerful as our ones at home)
Note to friends and family, if you get Molton Brown gifts from me at Christmas, they are not from this trip (wink wink).
The Room Mini Bar
The mini-bar is restocked daily and included Pringles, Snickers, some chocolate snacks as well as water, and coca cola, Fanta and Sprites. There was also a bottle of wine in our fridge when we arrived.
For people with babies, there is no microwave or high chair in the room. If you have a baby that will be eating at set times, having a high chair in the room gives you a bit more freedom to eat when you want instead of having to follow their schedule. I brought plenty of snacks for Olivia-Grace ad those in her pram if we weren’t ready to eat and I just put her in her pram. I did speak to another mummy with a baby under 12 months and she managed to get a sterliser for her room so if you need one, email the hotel beforehand.
Room service for Food and Drinks
You can order room service, but it is an additional cost, you don’t just pay for the delivery you have to pay for the full meal, so if you want to save money, don’t order room service and just go down and grab yourself something to eat in the Bistro or buffet.
Television in the Room
I must admit, we love a bit of TV in the background whilst we get ready and occasionally during the holiday, we do like to have a movie chilled night halfway through the holiday. The channels on the TV were not English, but we brought an HDMI cable and our laptops so we could watch Netflix and YouTube, I recommend doing the same if you and your family like a bit of TV time too.
WiFi at the Titanic Mardan Palace Hotel
After reading lots of stories about unexpectedly large phone bills, I decided to not even risk taking my phone off aeroplane mode at all and just connected to the hotel’s WiFi whilst on aeroplane mode.
The WiFi was open, so no password was required and we were able to connect to the Internet all over the hotel, which is great when you run an online business. It means that if I wanted to, I could still attend meetings and make calls and respond to emails.
The only place I noticed my signal wasn’t as good was in the gym, which wasn’t a problem.
DON’T FORGET Plugs for your Electricals
You need euro plugs for this hotel, I found a good deal on Amazon below.
I would have thought that this hotel may have converted to USB cables instead but they haven’t yet so you will need adapters.
The Gym at the Titanic Mardan Palace
The gym is open from 8 am -8pm, as two parents that like to go to the gym first thing before the kids wake up, I think it would have been good if the gym opened a little earlier (even 1 hour earlier). It is open until 8pm time but once we have indulged in food and drinks any motivation for exercise goes out the window and parenting mode is in full swing.
The gym has everything you need for a good workout, from weights to treadmills. There is also a drinks fridge with water and Vitamin water too.
The Spa at Titanic Mardan Palace
The gym in in the spa area, the spa has a heated indoor and outdoor pool, so if you feel the main pool is too cold you have this option.
The spa has lots of treatments available and you can use the steam room and relaxation rooms for free I believe, however I didn’t get a chance to try this, I was too busy stuffing my face with food and cocktails round the pool.
Breakfast Buffet
Breakfast is served in the main buffet from 9 am, they have literally everything including
Scrambled egg
Toast
Croissants
Cereals
Fruit
Smoothies
Avocado
Salad
Fish
Meats
Cheese
Toasties
Sausage
Bacon
Drinks are brought by your waiter, no cocktails are served here, cocktails are served in the main lobby and by the pool.
Lunch and Dinner in the Main Restaurant
I have to say that the food is absolutely incredible. The buffet style, where you go up and help yourself, is normal, but the food is just pure luxury, you almost forget that because of the non-table service for food, but every bite is a meal to remember.
From pasta, and pizza to mussels, calamari and wraps, they have something for everyone. No cocktails are served here, but you can ask for spirts, processco or wine in this buffet.
Food for Children in the Buffet at Mardan Palace
Food for kids at this hotel was great, they have cling filmed highchairs with a picture kids can colour (ironically no crayons in sight), but they have a bib, and it is all nice and clean which was good.
If you go towards the left side of the restaurant, you will see little plastic trays and cups and saucers, there is no baby food or blenders. I have Olivia-Grace, who is 18 months and used to picking up and eating food by herself bit if she was younger, I would have had to mash up the food for her with my fork, which I would have done, but if you don’t want to do that then I would suggest bringing your own baby food. There is no cutlery for little ones either so you may want to bring your own.
Don’t forget sippy cups for your little one, I nearly did and there is none available at the hotel.
For milk, the bar in the main lobby gave us cartons of milk each day which made things much easier when Olivia needed a bottle. I recommend doing the same.
Other Places you can Eat without booking
Mykonos Bar
Sports lounge
The Pattiserie
Stella Snack bar
Bistro
Ice Cream Parlour
The Cakes in the main lobby
This incredible area was probably my favourite. We got into a beautiful terrible habit of having a cake and coffee around 4 pm. The dessert bar in the main lobby is open from 10 am till 10 pm and is nothing like you have ever seen before. Imagine the best cake shop you have ever seen then times it by 10. This is the only way I can describe this luxurious cake area.
Check out my YouTube video for the full video but my god the cakes are out of this world. The cookies melt as you eat them.
Is Titanic Mardan Good for Kids?
The Kids Club
The kids club is located near the beach and is open from 10 am until midnight so you can enjoy some adult free time if your children love the club.
The hotel is also dedicated to families and children, which is great. There is a kids club for 3 – 10 years old. If you have younger children they aren’t forgotten about they do have a baby room you can play with them in.
The kids club has a cinema with 3 daily showings of movies.
You sign your kid into the club and then collect them when they have had enough
The kids club do what’s app when your little ones are ready to leave. The kids can’t get out on their own there is a button to exit and enter, which only adults can reach.
I am always a bit nervous about kids clubs, but George was desperate to go in on day one and loved it. He made perfume, and they had a bubble party which was really fun. We did keep checking on George but he was fine and when he was reayd to leave the staff what’s apped us to come and collect him.
They had lots of activities and games for the kids in the afternoons, we really couldn’t have asked for anything more.
One of the benefits of the Titanic Mardan is that The Land of Legends is just a short drive away. You can learn more about it here The Land of Legends Waterpark Review.
Mini Disco for Kids At Titanic Mardan Palace
They also have a mini disco in the evenings for the kids, this is suitable for all ages and is held in the kids club. After the mini disco your children can stay in the club doing activities if they wish.
I was a little disappointed at the lack of baby-changing areas in this area and throughout the hotel.
Olivia-Grace needed her nappy changing whilst in the kid’s area and there were no changing facilities. I could almost accept it around the rest of the hotel but in a baby room was a little surprising.
Make sure you remember a portable changing mat
Food and Drinks in the Kids Club at Mardan Palace
In the kid’s clubs, there was an ice lolly freezer kids can help themselves to and a drinks fridge too. The kids club was cool enough for the kids to relax fully and they also had daily entertainment in the kids club garden where they held events like a Rocket Building Launch and a Sweet Factory, which included popcorn, candy floss, Lemonade stands etc.
The Gaming and Bowling area in Titanic Mardan Palace
This area is not near the kids club in the hotel and in the main hotel. On day one the weather was a little off so we felt this was the perfect time to explore the arcades.
The machines were completely free and so was the bowling. There is also a sports bar that shows the latest matches and boxing if you ask them too. This is a great feature in the hotel and my husband and son used it quite a lot during our stay at the hotel.
The Pool Service at Titanic Mardan
The service by the pool is so good, there are people skating round bringing you cocktails, fruit, crisps and even iced face towels. The sun beds have towels on them already so you don’t need to bring your own.
There are also bars dotted around the pool and everytime you go to order a drink they tell you to sit down and they will bring it over which was nice.
A negative is the sun beds getting full, there is a lack of sunbeds compared to people and we struggled to get sunbeds for 3 days (we headed to the pool around at 11am) We ending up having to put our stuff on the sunbeds first thing in the morning to make sure we had somewhere to sit and I hate it when people do that but you know what they say, if you can’t beat them jpoin them so that is what we had to do.
Food Options in the Day at Titanic Mardan
As well as the main buffet restaurant and the Bistro there are also other bar type resturants you can head to in the day. They have the Mykonos bar that has pizza, pastas and salads and another restaurant near where the entertainment is held this restaurant was really nice with plenty of choice. They also have another eating place located near the evening entertainment. This bar was lovely and the cheese pitas are a must try.
There are also 2 dessert bars (one in the lobby one near evening entertainment) the one near the evening entertainment includes cakes, ice creams and waffles and this is all part of the all inclusive package.
Entertainment in the Evening at Titanic Mardan Palace
There are plenty of things to do in Antalya, so the entertainment at the hotel was an added bonus!
The evening entertainment was great, the kids club always had something on for the kids and then the main entertainment area is outdoors near the kids club so you could walk down and watch that.
The entertainment was really good, there was a circus act one night, flame throwers, singers and so much more. Each show lasted around an hour which was perfect.
It would have been good if they had entertainment the for a few hours where they interact with the audience but they didn’t have anything like that, by the time the entertainment finished, we were ready for bed anyway.
Around the Mykynos bar there was also music blasting and a bit of a club over that way, we didn’t make it to that but sif you have kids that love the kids club you might want to enjoy a drink there as that club is literally opposite the kids club.
There is also a club somewhere in this hotel called “The Monkey Club” we didn’t manage to find that one.
We stayed outside a the big bridge near the main pool and they had singers each night playing so when we came back to our room we would bring drinks back and sit on the balcony listening to the music.
Beach Cabana ay Titanic Mardan Palace – Is it worth it?
On our last day we were leaving for the airport at 7pm so we decided to hire a cabana on the beach, if you can afford to I do recommend this. The service was incredible and we were waited on hand and foot. They had people coming round with prosecco, cleaning our sun glasses, snacks, lunch and fruit. We were a few feet away from the beach and had access to our own mini bar and bell to call the waiters. The price for the cabana was 150 euros but it was a lovely experience and one we will always remember.
Water sports at Titanic Mardan Palace
On our last day George and Danny went on a Jet Ski, they had lots of water sports on the beach from parasailing to rubber disk boats. We loved this.
Overall Summary of Titanic Mardan Hotel Antayla
I would give this hotel a massive 9 out of 10, I feel like this hotel was pure luxury, I think if there were more sunbeds and a bit more going on during the day around the pool it would have been better but everything was amazing from the service to the food. We loved it all and we would definitely rebook again. I do think the lack of baby changing facilities was poor but everything is so clean it wouldn’t put me off booking again.
