Dorking Health Care Talking Therapies offers a perinatal mental health course called Evolve, four times a year, and is recruiting participants for its current group. Evolve is available to any parent (she/he/they) living in Surrey who presents with mild-moderate anxiety/depression related to the perinatal period (pregnancy and up to 2yrs post-partum), free of charge. Your babies are welcome to join too, in whatever state they’re in!
While the current group started on Tuesday 19th April via Teams/Zoom, new members are very welcome to join by Tuesday, 26 April. Please spread the word!

Dates –
Starts Tuesday 19th April 2021, 6-week group (with a 1 week break on 3rd May)
Times –
All 10am – 11.30am, via Teams.
Purpose-
The group is for pregnant women or parents who have a baby under the age of 2 years. The group is aimed at those presenting with symptoms of anxiety and or depression related to the perinatal period.

* Psychoeducation – low mood and activity
* Activity scheduling focusing on self-care, time for self, ‘parent I want to be now’ and activities that complement this

* Worry management
* Continuum of ‘good mum (parent)/bad mum(parent)’

* Self-compassion
* Changes in relationships and changes in roles
