If you follow me on social media, you will know that I am trying to lose a few lbs before our family break. As a self-confessed pizza addict, I decided to try to make Healthy Tortilla Pizza’s with George and do you know what? They were incredible and I didn’t feel like lethargic afterwards like I usually do after stuffing my chops with a pizza. George enjoyed making the healthy tortilla pizza with me and during those 15 minutes of preparation, I actually thought I was rocking motherhood like a boss – which is fairly unusual for me!!
So here is my recipe for my healthy tortilla pizza wrap, today I chose the following topping ham, cheese, pepper and mushroom pizza but you can change the toppings to whatever you like – I love this recipe because there are no rules (just make sure all meat is cooked through fully before it is added to your pizza base)
A Red Pepper
One calorie booking spray
Firstly, pre-heat your oven– set the temperature to 220’c and make sure it is very hot before you insert your pizza if you want to go for maximum crispiness – oh you do, you really do!!!
Spray one calorie spray on to the tortilla and place the sprayed side down on your foil sheet to ensure it doesn’t stick
Using a large spoon, apply a generous amount of tomato puree to your tortilla “base”, use the back of your spoon to spread it evenly around the tortilla.
Sprinkle as much Mozzarella as you desire over the tomato puree
Add your toppings however the hell you want
As soon as your finished decorating your pizza give it a spray of one calorie cooking spray and pop it straight into the oven for about 6-8 minutes.
Plate your gorgeously thin, guilt-free home-made tortilla pizza onto a plate and serve with a nice crispy salad!
