Having both worked in financial advice for a number of years, we, Alex & Michelle Simpson, established Parkview in 2013 with the aim of providing advice to our clients in all areas of financial planning, principally Protection, Retirement planning, Investments & Savings and Mortgages. Alex has been professionally qualified since 1999 and Michelle since 2006.
Over the last decade, as our client-base has grown, so have the needs of our business and we are now a team of seven, including two Mortgage Advisors and an Operations Manager, allowing us to support our clients as we continue to build.
Our office is in the Medway towns in Kent and the larger proportion of our clients are in Kent, London and the surrounding counties, although we do look after clients country-wide. We will happily discuss your needs both face-to-face and remotely, whatever is best to fit around your family and work commitments.
There is very little that we cannot help with in respect of your financial planning, directly and through our associate partnerships, depending upon the nature of your requirements.
Typically though, when it comes to growing families, we tend to find parent’s priorities are protecting what they have and saving for the future, our children are now 20 and 15 so we have been through this ourselves. And with all things financial, there is always a number of ways that we can put this advice together and it will always be based upon your own individual circumstances, preferences – and budget.
With regard to protecting you and your family, there are a range of lump sum and regular income options to provide financial security on death or illness. Life cover in particular can be very cheap and clients are often pleasantly surprised at the level of cover that can be secure for a modest outlay.
Parents will of course often want to set money aside for years to come, education, first car, house deposit, and again, we can discuss the range of suitable options with you before making a recommendation.
Whilst these are of course key areas, our services are not limited to these.
We are experienced in retirement planning, helping you fund for when you stop work as well as tracking down and amalgamating old pensions. Pensions are often misunderstood and are an excellent way of building up a sum of money quickly – this is because, at the very least, for every £1 you invest, HMRC will add 25p in tax relief. And if you are self-employed or run your own business we can discuss the most effective way to fund a pension to maximise the tax benefits.
We have a dedicated mortgage team and can also discuss your requirements in this area, whether buying for the first time, re-mortgaging or moving home, as well as advising on buy-to-let.
In short, there is very little that we cannot help you with from a financial point of view and we look forward to hearing from you.
