Infant massage has many benefits. For both parent and child, it can strengthen bonding and attachment, enhance understanding of non-verbal communication and build confidence in parenting. It also has many physical benefits for a child such as relieving colic or constipation and improving sleep quality.
Infant massage is taught over five sessions, where on each occasion a parent/caregiver will learn a different part of the body to massage, information on aspects of child development and they will have a chance to interact with other parents in a relaxed setting.
Charly, is an IAIM certified instructor. This allows her to teach parents/caregivers massage very early on in their child’s life and to teach those who have children with a disability to massage their child until the age of 7 years.
Charly teaches in various venues across Leicestershire. Her current classes take place on the following days and areas:
Mondays 10am-12pm, South Wigston Conservative club
Wednesdays 1pm-3pm, Brookside Studio Syston
Friday’s 10am-12pm, Mountsorrel memorial centre
And 1pm-3pm Tesco community space Beaumont leys.
Each session is one and a half hours, refreshments are included each week and BOTH parents are always welcome.
Full payment is taken via bank transfer at the time of booking. Places are limited so please call/text or Email Charly to book a space on a course prior to the start date.
Please note that not all sessions run consecutively, there is a break for the holidays and unfortunately siblings are not welcome in class. This is so that your new baby can have your undivided attention and you can share quality time.
