Based on Fowler Street, South Shields, we are central to all areas and easily accessible by bus, car, train and metro. Our office is wheelchair accessible with a private meeting room which is situated on the ground floor for ease of access. There is also a disabled parking bay to the front of our office.

For example, if you are having difficulties negotiating or arranging the other parents contact to your child or children, we can assist by either entering into negotiations with the other party or suggesting that both parties arrange a meeting with a mediator. If these suggestions are not successful, we can advise whether to issue Court proceedings and, if so, the nature of the orders to be sought, the process by which child arrangement applications go through the Court, intervention by a CAFCASS officer and the preparation of a safeguarding report and a final report before a final hearing. We can also advise on the possible outcomes.
One of the common issues is whether there has been domestic violence, domestic abuse or coercive control experienced by one party. Domestic violence and domestic abuse are matters which everyone will understand. However, coercive control is a very insidious complaint and has never been fully explained or defined but once again this is an area on which Marshall Hall Levy solicitors can give detailed advise. This will include whether the allegations are so serious that they will have to be decided at a fact find hearing and also whether the allegations will likely to have an impact on the contact arrangements.

However, if the attendee is in receipt of state benefits and can prove that they are the victim of domestic violence, domestic abuse or coercive control, they may be eligible for Legal Help or Legal Aid.
