Vowing to be honest and show both sides of motherhood, her blogs quickly gained attention from other mummy bloggers and those looking for support alike. With readers regularly commenting on posts, a community formed around the blog and numbers continued to grow.
On maternity leave, Carla herself was struggling to find fun things to do with her baby, George. It’s from this that the idea of a dedicated directory was born. Starting local and expanding nationally, the MyBump2Baby directory now connects other parents to thousands of companies, events, and classes in their local area in just a few clicks. Within just a few months’ visitors to the site soared and the demand for a baby and toddler directory was clear.
Now ranking on page 1 on Google for thousands of terms and with thousands of parents relying on MyBump2Baby every month, the brand is growing from strength to strength.
MyBump2Baby Helping Bloggers
Carla started initially started her MyBump2Baby journey as a blogger and recognised how hard it can be to reach a wide audience and increase traffic numbers without paying for boosting of posts. Carla wanted to dedicate a section on the MyBump2Baby app for bloggers. The section allows parents to see most recent posts, check out people via profile and users can type in keywords for example “teething, potty training, motivation” etc.
This popular section also allows parents to “favourite bloggers” which means they receive a push notification to their mobile phone each and every time the blogger adds a new post generating more traffic for the blogger. The feedback from bloggers has been incredible and their traffic is increasing all the time.
With already over 200 bloggers and 2000 posts, this section is becoming a very popular resource.
MyBump2Baby is constantly in touch with both well-known and upcoming brands and has built many contacts within the pregnancy, baby, toddler and family related world. Carla believes that influencers and bloggers are the future when it comes to advertising and encourages brands to use the MyBump2Baby bloggers for work opportunities both local and national. Carla has already secured work opportunities for many of her bloggers.
