Seton Sands Haven Review
We have been holidaying at Haven 7 years ago, and often, we head to Haven’s nearer home so we can get my son back to school, but we decided that since it was Easter, we would head to Haven a little further afield. My other Haven reviews are;
For this trip, I decided on a Seton Sands Haven Review. I want to take this opportunity to let you know that Haven does not pay me for these reviews, and the reviews are based on our personal experience.
We didn’t bring our tourer this time, as it was only £60 more to stay in a bronze caravan, so we opted for that. It was really good. The bronze was perfect for us. There were four single beds bedrooms), two bathrooms and a double room, so I could sleep 6 more with a blow-up bed.
The TV was digital, it had a scart lead and HDMI cable which means you could connect to a device.
You must remember to book your cot, bed guard, or highchair in advance. These do cost, so if you can bring your own, you should. The bed guard cost us £7.00.
WIFI at Seton Sands
The wifi was terrible where we were, and the only way to get it was to be near the main complex; if you choose a static near the main area, you might get a signal from the Haven Wifi, but even our phones didn’t get a signal, and that is on o2 and Vodaphone.
Luckily, as regular caravanners we invested in EE box, you top it up (do this before arriving as you will be lucky to get signal). See Wifi Portable Box
EE tends to have the best signal across Havens for some reason.
Swimming At Seton Sands
At Haven Swimming, you must book in advance; you can book up to four weeks before your trip. I recommend doing this so you can get your desired slot. The morning slots tend to go quite quickly.
The pool was big. It had three pools in one area and two slides. There was also a little pool for little toddlers with a water feature.
The changing rooms are mixed and all footwear is to be removed before you go in the changing rooms. You will need £1 for your locker.
We enjoyed the swimming pool; it was clean and warm, and Olivia-Grace had fun. My son had a broken arm, so unfortunately couldn’t get a statement about the slides, much to his disappointment.
Food At Seton Sands
Unlike any other Haven Holiday, there wasn’t much choice when it came to The only food places there are at this Haven were the pub food and the fish and chips. We did a big shop before we went so the only money we spent on food was on Sunday night when we decided to get some chips, gravy and jumbo sausages from the fish and chip shop.
I must admit, the Jumbo sausages at £3.79 was a little frustrating, especially as we brought our own sausages but hadn’t cooked them.

Entertainment At Seton Sands
The entertainment was smaller than some of the other Havens I have reviewed, Hafan Y Mor, Presthaven Sands, and Primrose Valley, Marton Mere and a similar size to Lakeland, but it was still good.
I recommend trying to get there around 6 pm-7 pm to get good seats. We got there around 8:30 pm on Friday, and there was nowhere to sit.
They have nights with entertainment, music, and games. We went again on Sunday evening, and it was a bit quieter. The entertainment was good fun and we really enjoyed it.
Activities at this Haven;
Golf
Footgolf
Swimming
Crafting
Den building
Nerf shooting
and more…
We booked the free crafting session for the kids and that was nice, it is a bit of a walk and no where near the entertainment so I recommend getting an idea of where you need to go before setting off.
Seaton Sands to Edinburgh
It is really easy to get to Edinburgh, and we chose to use the train. We drove to the local train station, Longdiggerty, parked our car for free, and boarded the train. There was no conductor or pay station, so we booked online.
It was a 5-minute drive to the train station and then a 20-minute train ride; the trains run every hour.
The price was £16 for 4 of us.
If you come to this part, I highly recommend visiting Edinburgh. There is so much to do and see.
